World After by Susan Ee is the second instalment of the Penryn and the End of Days series.
For some reason I thought that this book wouldn't make me as angry as the first book 'Angelfall'. Wow was I wrong.
I actually picked up the The Outsiders to re-read alongside this one.
Don't get me wrong, I love this series. They are amazing books and Susan Ee is an amazing writer. I actually love the way she writes. There is just something that happens to me when I read them and I get so angry.
It's kind of like that one person who makes you angry or pissed off all the time but you don't know why. They've never done anything to make you angry at them, but yet once you see their face you become so angry and just wish they'd leave.
Her family is still pretty badass.
I actually wasn't angry for the middle part of the book but once Raffe showed up again I got angry again. I don't know why though.
I just really hope that Penryn won't have to go looking for her sister Paige in the third book. Because I swear if she does, then we gonna have some problems.
The fight scenes in this book were amazing. I loved the dreams she had with Pooky Bear (don't ask its a spoiler). And I absolutely loved her sword fight with Burnt and what happened after it. Seriously, no matter how upset Paige's condition makes me, she is the most badass seven year old I've ever see. Or read about I guess.
This book was far better than the first one and I gave it a 4.25 on my goodreads.
If you'd like me to read/ review a book, just leave a comment below! I'll try not to give too many spoilers or give too much away while reviewing the books, but if I do, also let me know so I can give warnings to anyone who hasn't read the books before. I appreciate all feedback, but please be respectful on constructive criticism.
Everyone's opinions are valuable so please don't make anyone feel terrible for having their own opinion on a book. Just because it's different from yours does not mean it's the wrong opinion.
