Firstly let me say that Emma's mom is so funny at the start of this book.
Spoilers: she basically kidnaps Emma and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time.
This book really does show how badass Emma really is and a new side to her. All of the characters are really viewed in a sort of new way. It's kind of like seeing their second skin in a way.
Seriously, this whole book made me so happy and kind of giddy in a way. I was smiling the whole time (well almost, there was quite a bit of betrayal) and I couldn't put it down until I had it finished.
I couldn't help but say to myself 'plot twist' on many occasions. Even if I saw it coming.
It was just so exciting.
I just secretly wished there was more, and she could have made it just as humorous as the first one but it wasn't really. But I guess the epicness of it made up for that a little bit.
I just don't understand why people were so disappointed with this book. I guess the only real disappointment was Emma's mom. She didn't have a real explanation to why she did what she did and as soon as she saw Grom again she was right back in the water saying she missed it and whatever.
I don't like Emma's mom.
(Book selfie just for fun. :) )
