March was a terrible month.
I said I finished The Dream Thieves last month because I was planning to finish it before the post actually went up (all my posts are on schedules) but I read like a page or two a day for all of March and it took me forever to actually finish.
I also started Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children because the trailer for Tim Burton's movie came out and I was like 'damn I need to read that right now'. And so I did.
Onto books I *Actually* finished reading this month:
1. The Dream Thieves - Maggie Stiefvater
-I actually did it this time, I promise!
Now for April!!
1. Scarlet - Marissa Meyer
-I have started this one already! I love it so much!
2. Sea of Monsters - Rick Riordan
-I'm re-reading this one! I can't wait!
3. Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard
-I need to get onto this level.
4. Rebel Belle - Rachel Hawkins
-I still need to get on this level.
And of course I plan on finishing Miss. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children very soon so my brother can read it too!

30. As Dead As It Gets - Katie Alender
As Dead As It Gets by Katie Alender is a fantastic final book in this trilogy.
This book was different from the first two but still equally haunting. You won't know the exact reason for everything that is happening until Alexis figures it all out too.
Book one had a haunted doll, book two had a group of girls worshiping a demon, and this book has a full on poltergeist. That and a few random ghosts here and there.
Also, a crazy boyfriend.
Its pretty great. Only took me a day to read and I kind of want to read more about Alexis and her ability to see ghosts and what not.
But the way it ended really was a perfect ending for this little series. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to try some easy horror to try and get into it. (But I think I already said that.)

29. Where She Went - Gayle Forman
Where She Went by Gayle Forman is the perfect sequel in my eyes.
I love, love, loved this book. Just as much as I loved the first one. It deals with a lot of deep things but it's also very light and cute at times. It kind of reminds me of fan fiction and that may be why I like it so much but let's hope not.
Unlike the first book, this book follows Adam around about three and a half years after the last book ended. It slowly fills you in on what happened after the first book ended. It also takes some time to look into Adam's past.
We learn why he was so interested in Mia before they met each other. We learn things he thought while they were in a relationship and how he felt about Mia's family, and still does.
The book also shows us how much things can change over time, but some things will remain.
I can see why people might not have loved this book but it makes me think they overlooked the deeper meanings inside of it. The reasons why people might have hated it are so minimal to the reasons to love it.
I am not a fan of the one chapter in the present and the next in the past, however that is because I just want to read what happens in the present more. 28. The Raven Boys - Maggie Stiefvater
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater is a book that I swear everyone read before me.
Seriously, everyone and their grandmother has read this book before I did. Unless you haven't read it yet, then I suggest you go and start reading right this moment.
I'll admit, it was hard to get into at first. Maggie Stiefvater's writing style had me unconsciously skipping over details. I had to go back and re-read the fourth chapter after reading it the first time because I missed so many things.
Sometimes the point of view switches between chapters are super obvious, but other times they're not. It was very hard to differentiate between the boy's point of views when they are all in the same place unless it was glaringly obvious. Sometimes I'd read a whole chapter and not realize I was in Gansey's head (sort of) rather than Adam's head.
Sometimes I wanted Blue to just blurt everything out! She is very frustrating when she knows a lot more than she's telling them. She just needs to let them know in my opinion.
The one thing that really bugged me about this book was that Blue called her mother by her first name. That and I still have no idea who Orla and Calla are or if they are even related to Blue or not.
Other than that, I think I've got most of it and I'm pretty excited to read the next book. I actually got excited to read the second one only while half-way through this one. That's how excited I am.
Don't judge, you know you've done it at least once as well.
So if you were like me and haven't read this book yet, go and do it. I even told my boss she should read this book. Seriously. There are so many good things about it!

27. Ink - Amanda Sun
Ink by Amanda Sun is
When I picked up this book in the store, the lady said that if (I can't remember her name) her coworker hadn't put this down as her staff pick then she would have.
However, I'm going to admit I didn't like it. So much to the point at page 72 I stopped reading and haven't picked it back up. I was pretty bored and I do plan on trying to read it again soon and when I do I'll let you know and I'll update this review but for now it's going to stay unfinished while I read books that I have more interest in first.
But I do plan on coming back to it!

February Wrap-Up and March TBR
February was another good month for reading for me!
1. The Raven Boys - Maggie Stiefvater
-okay, can I just say that this book may be one of my top five reads of 2016 already and it's only February. I'm serious.
2. Cinder - Marissa Meyer
-I shouldn't have picked up this book until after Easter. Because it's lent and I gave up book buying and I don't own the next one and my book hangover lasted like a week and a half after finishing this. I couldn't even function properly at work.
3. The Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan
-I re-read this and I'm so glad I did! I plan on trying to finish re-reading the whole series this year!

26. End of Days - Susan Ee
End of Days by Susan Ee didn't make me as angry as the first two.
This was also probably my favourite book in the series.
I seriously loved it so much.
I gave this book five stars when I gave the first one three and the second one four. It's because they slowly got better and better as time went on. And I also found out that originally there was going to be five books but she condensed them into just three and I'm actually kind of disappointed that she didn't stick with the original plan.
Penryn earns the name 'Angel Slayer' and with that built up confidence she becomes super badass in this book. Like seriously, her and her family are my favourite characters of all time. They are so dysfunctional and scary that they function perfectly together.
It's going to be alright if I spoil this one a little because it is the third and final book so why are you reading this if you haven't read the first two anyways?
The Watchers are probably some of the coolest slash funniest characters in this book aside from Penryn and her family. And when that thing that happened to Beliel, I almost wanted to cry for him. Almost. I mean it all makes sense now why he did what he did. I know he kind of deserved it but when he said "I knew I recognized your voice" my heart kind of broke.
I actually have a favourite quote from this book and it's "Power is best held by the ones who don't want it." I actually liked it on goodreads because it was fantastic.
Also, the twins were fantastic in here. I love their talent show ideas and just them in general. I kind of wish they were my best friends. There would never be a dull moment.
As long as you can get through the first book (kind of like I did) then you'll learn to love the rest of this series. I still wonder why the first book made me so angry anyways.

February Haul
I was very good this month, only four books were purchased. I gave up buying books for lent and lent started on Ash Wednesday (February 10th) so I didn't have a whole lot of time left for buying books. But that's okay. I just have to last until Easter....
1. The Queen of the Tearling - Erika Johansen
- it's been on my to-buy list for so long and I finally found it (only for $6 as well) and I'm super happy!
2. Zeroes - Scott Westerfeld
- I'll be honest. When I saw this book on Instagram, all there was is the back of the book (not the summary because it was a hardcover copy) and I don't know much about it. But I saw it and remember that I liked what the back had said and bought it.
3. Nightfall - Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski
- I have heard so many good things about this book and I'm really interested in reading it!
4. Reached - Ally Condie
- its another one of those sequel buys that I happen to do so much. Oops.
That's it! This is the shortest haul I've done on here so far!

25. Of Neptune - Anna Banks
Of Neptune by Anna Banks is still a little confusing to me a few months after I read it.
My first thought after reading Of Triton was that this book was not necessary. The only real scene I figured I needed ended up being the last one in the whole book.
But nope. Anna gave us a whole other plot thing to worry about. I got where everything came from but I still didn't see the need for this book.
There were two villains though this book and I still am not sure if they knew each other or not. Most of it was kind of a blur.
Also, I didn't really like Reed at all. He was a player and full of himself at most points. His younger sibling however, was pretty funny and cute. (In a little kid sort of way.)
The more time that has passed since I read this book, the more I think it really didn't need to be written. I still loved most of it.
But seriously, when Galen leaves, Emma would/should have worried more. Like, he has never done that before so you seriously should have been a tad more worried about the whole situation. Galen would have been.
I gave it 5 stars, more like 4.75 though. I loved it but it had a lot of flaws and didn't really measure up to the awesomeness of the first two books that came before it.

24. The Outsiders - S.E. Hinton
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is one of my favourite books I've ever read in school.
The first time I read this I was probably 13 years old and I couldn't just read it in my 8th grade English class alongside everyone and the teacher. I had to go home and finish the whole thing myself first.
And all I remember is balling my eyes out.
This was the first book that probably ever made me cry and I loved it so much.
As I read this a second time, I just would read a line and remember talking about it in detail in class and it was actually kind of funny to me.
I forgot all of the details of what happened in this book but I was glad I re-read it. Right before the rumble happened I couldn't read it anymore for some reason and put it down. But I picked it up the next day and finished off the last 20 pages or so.
My next plan is to watch the movie before I start reading my next book.
If you never had the opportunity to read this book in school like I did, then I highly recommend you go out and pick up a copy to read right now. Even if it's a library copy or borrowing a friends. Heck, borrow my copy if you want to.
You have to read this book before you turn 25. At least. If not, before you die please. You're never too old for a good book.
