81. Library of Souls - Ransom Riggs

Wowza.

Okay so, I think that the first and second books were just warm-ups for this bad boy.

I have to be in a mood to read this series, and that's an "I want to read about peculiar children" kind of mood that hits me every once and a while. I don't know how else to describe it. But because of this mood, it took me soooooo long to pick up Library of Souls.

I will never make that mistake again.

LIBRARY OF SOULS WAS THE BEST BOOK.

Sorry for shouting but I just needed you to know that. This book made Jacob come into his peculiar ability so well, I can't even describe the amount of flabbergasted I felt after I was finished with this one. I was kind of just left in a zombie state for a while.

That also could have been because I read it between 2AM and 8AM, but that's beside the point.

If you've read the first one and the second one, or even just the first one, KEEP GOING. I promise this thrid book makes everything worth it. (and when you see my thoughts on the fourth book, you'll know that you still need to keep going.)

I'm dead.

80. A Gathering of Shadows - V.E. Schwab

Wow, this was something else.

I know I had a little bit of an idea of how this story-line was going to head, but I was still very surprised!

Not to mention this book ends on a huge cliffhanger! So if you enjoyed the first one, and would like to continue onto this one (the second book) make sure you have immediate access to the third book. You're going to need it!

Not to mention that Lila as a pirate in Red London's world is literally everything I needed in my life. EVERYTHING. The people she meets, the magic she accomplishes, and everything she is makes me feel so good about life.

If I could be a fictional character, I would be Lila in this book, because she's the best. (I know she gets better and whatever, but this is prime Lila reading for me, okay?)

The parts in here that weren't Lila story I rushed through because I just needed to see where she was going next.

And that's all I have to say. I think I'm in love with Delilah Bard.

79. The Song of Achilles - Madeline Miller

I listened to the audiobook for this one and it was my first audiobook and let me tell you, it was the best decision I could have made.

I still need to get my hands on a copy of this book but I assure you I will add it to the top shelf of my books (the all-time favourite shelf) right beside Circe.

At this point, I will read anything that Madeline Miller writes because she is incredible. I don't care that these are "re-tellings" they are everything I ever wanted or needed in life and here we are.

This is better than Troy or anything along those lines and I will forever cherish this book. I'm all for Greek mythology... well I'm all for ANY type of mythology or old gods and stories along the same lines.

So you just know that this book killed me.

78. The Wizard Heir (And The Warrior Heir) - Cinda Williams Chima

I apparently never wrote a review for The Warrior Heir, but I need to write one for The Wizard Heir. I also don't remember much of The Warrior Heir so I'm just going to tell you I loved it before we talk about The Wizard Heir.

The Warrior Heir was an amazing book with all the right amount of action and romance and a teenager losing his mind because his world has been turned upside-down from magic. This is everything you need in an urban fantasy and I love the history behind the guilds and in general, just all of the history this book has for it to work perfectly.

The Wizard Heir brings in new characters and does an amazing job at it! This one starts in a weird place with a group full of evil wizards but its the perfect place for this story to build and become amazing. Honestly, I loved the new characters in here more than I loved the characters from the first one.

The way that Cinda Williams Chima writes is a bit different but it works oh so well and both of these books took me a hot minute to get into but I was so glad when I finally did!

77. There's Someone Inside Your House - Stephanie Perkins

The first chapter will pull you in and you can't stop.

The course this book takes is a wild one that I can't describe. Not to mention one of the main characters shares my name which is not something I'm used to.

One of my friends borrowed this to read before I got to it and she's not someone to read something for romance. Rarely does she even like reading any type of romance. However, she admitted she really liked the romance in this book so that has to count for something!

I wrote in my little review thing that this book made me scared, laugh, and cry at various times. Then I quote "even on the same page sometimes."

So obviously this one brought out quite a few emotions in me!

76. Hocus Pocus and Witch Please - A.W. Jantha

A spooky read for me when I read it in August.

This was the perfect way to get me in the perfect mood for Halloween. Yes, I read it in August, but that's perfect timing to start the spooky season. Don't judge.

I ended up reading Hocus Pocus, then watching the movie, then reading Witch Please. Yes, there are two stories in this book. And the Hocus Pocus one is done fantastically. It's pretty much word for word what the movie was but it was a fun experience to read!

Honestly, this made me love the movie even more than I did before.

Witch Please was a little different, which is to be expected. You can't just come along and make the atmosphere the exact same if you didn't write the first one, to begin with.

But the effort and thought that was put into it was beautiful!

75. Always and Forever, Lara Jean - Jenny Han

I never wanted this to end.

Lara Jean holds a special place in my heart.

Honestly, I wouldn't care of she ended up with Peter or not. I just loved reading about her and realizations she had while growing. Part of me - a big part of me - wants to keep reading about her life. Forever. I love her to death.

This final book, I'll admit was slightly disappointing near the end. Slightly! Only because I need more in my life. It can't just end like that. I mean, the movie came out and that was amazing and cute and I love it as much as I love the books (even if they skip parts).

But I NEED University Lara Jean, please.

I need older Lara Jean figuring things out and I need her to tell me how she's doing.

Five stars, obviously. Ten if I could rate higher than Goodreads lets me.

74. Waistcoats & Weaponry - Gail Carriger

Book 3 was amazing. This series just kept getting better the more I read.

I think book 3 ended up being my favourite book too.

I love Soap and Felix both and they both got shot which hurts.

Even if it's neither of them. I don't care who she picks.

This series soothes my heart. And I know it'll crush me but I'm ready.

I need to know what'll happen ASAP. The next book will hopefully be here soon. Then I'll feel complete.

73. Two Years, Eight Months, and Twenty-Eight Nights - Salman Rushdie

I have heard good things about this author and was pulled in by the concept and the book cover. However, this was a weird read for me.

Written very well but too 'smart' for me. It took me a while to get into it. The writing style was just a little weird to me and for the longest time, I had no idea what was happening or where this story was trying to go. I didn't know what he was trying to tell me at all.

Although, the last bit, as soon as Mr. Geromino isn't floating anymore, I absolutely loved!

If this story was written in a different style, I would be fangirling over it and I would have finished in no time flat. I really wish it was that amazing book I hoped it could be but it wasn't.

It wasn't bad, just not for me. I gave it 3 stars.

72. Winter - Marissa Meyer

Welcome to the end.

I honestly put off reading this book for so long because I didn't want it to ever end. I still haven't read fairest either because I'd like to think that this world will never disappear.

I never want to say goodbye to any of these characters.

Cress finally got her happily ever after. I feel awful for Wolf but go him and Scarlet! Cinder's life finally came together and the moon is finally her's! For now. It was a sad and beautiful ending and I'll have a bookhangover for a couple of weeks probably, it was that amazing.

I mean, all of us always want more anyways. But I loved everything about this and the ending was perfect. Unlike some other endings of some other books that I may or may not be salty about still.

Winter, however, was amazing. Although I wish I could see what their future day-to-day could be after the big win, I know that's not how this stuff works.

Now I must convince myself to read Fairest and accept that this story is over. Good luck to me.
