The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke is by far one of my all time favourite books.
This book takes place in an alternate universe and I was a bit cautious of it at first but I had both books in the duology so I figured I better try it out.
I loved every second of it. You may think that the beginning of it is a bit cliche but I promise you it's anything but that. It's an adventure of magic and pirates and amazingness all the way through. I finished it within a day and had THE biggest book hangover of my life.
I also started the second and finished it in the same day as well. Way back up in June and my book hangover lasted through three months and ten books (so far, its still a little bit there if I think about it a little or see it on my shelf).
So yea, it was fantastic.
I wish I could have given it ten stars, but it's sitting at a 5 on my goodreads. Because that's all they will allow me to have.
This book was easily added to my favourites list after I was finished with it.
I really do wish there could be another book in the series or just more pages from where it ended but sadly there isn't. Its okay though! Always leave them wanting more!
There are so many good things that I could say about this book but I won't because I want everyone to find out for themselves. I think everyone needs to read this book. There isn't hardly any romance which is always a bit odd to read but you know it's going to show up.
I won't spoil anything for you, but having a girl pirate whose only dream is to own her own pirate ship plus an assassin who is self conscious about his looks travelling around together to break an impossible cure is all you really need in your life.
That's all I'm going to say about it, but you should all really go and read it! (Also, the cover is just as pretty in person.)
If you'd like me to read/ review a book, just leave a comment below! I'll try not to give too many spoilers or give too much away while reviewing the books, but if I do, also let me know so I can give warnings to anyone who hasn't read the books before. I appreciate all feedback, but please be respectful on constructive criticism.
Everyone's opinions are valuable so please don't make anyone feel terrible for having their own opinion on a book. Just because it's different from yours does not mean it's the wrong opinion.
