Top five books of all time. Probably second after The Lovely Bones. Here is why:
This book lifted me up and got me to the highest point of happiness and amazement before it crushed me, my heart, and my dreams.
If you've read it, then you know why.
They met and it was beautiful and I should have stopped reading right there and let the memory of the day those two had together live on forever with me wondering what happened after. I should have stopped and let my heart have a good day.
Instead, I had to finish the book and cry.
Most times, we need to get a glance into the future and see what happens, but this was not one of those times.
Spoilers:
He fucking died. He got captured and got sick and then fucking died.
Additionally: I gave this to my grandma to read and her review is...
The first 3/4 is kind of boring but the last bit is worth it. She finished it instead of talking to me while we waited for dinner so I assume its a good sign.
If you'd like me to read/ review a book, just leave a comment below! I'll try not to give too many spoilers or give too much away while reviewing the books, but if I do, also let me know so I can give warnings to anyone who hasn't read the books before. I appreciate all feedback, but please be respectful on constructive criticism.
Everyone's opinions are valuable so please don't make anyone feel terrible for having their own opinion on a book. Just because it's different from yours does not mean it's the wrong opinion.

48. Curtsies & Conspiracies - Gail Carriger
Book 2 in this series made me happy so I kept reading it.
I flew through this book! No struggles to read at all. I'm pretty sure I finished it in two days actually.
Also, this love triangle that developed. Soap VS. [a] Lord (something - I can't remember), is the best love triangle and both are great choices (to me at least). So I cannot wait to see who she picks (although I have a pretty good idea).
I've been in pain trying to not read the next one so quickly so that I can soak it all in and really know what I'm going in to.
I have a rule with myself that I cannot read books in a series back-to-back because if I do then I get them all mushed into one long story (which I mean they are but,) if I want to talk to someone about a specific book in that series or write about it here I need to be able to know where one story ends and the next one begins. Make sense?
So as painful as waiting to read the last book is, I will wait. But for real, this book is my favourite in the whole series so far.

53. The Darkhouse - Barbara Radecki
The Darhouse by Barbara Radecki is a short book filled with twists and turns.
I picked this book up originally because it could fit in a small purse and its written by a Canadian who did one of the voices for a Sailor Scout on Sailor Moon. So, hell yeah.
This shit is wild. From a normal boring island life, to the craziest shit you ever read. The main character's dad had told her that her mother was crazy and so he took her away from her when she was a baby and brought her to this island where her crazy mother would never find her. For her own safety of course.
She wasn't allowed off the island.
Then she finds this cave and honestly I figured he was crazy enough to keep her mom under there because he didn't seem like a good dad to begin with.
Bot no. This secret is much more terrifying and just the whole deal is awful. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I really think more people need to hear about it.

Hey 2018 is almost over!
Hello, people of the internet,
or whatever.
Long time since I posted, I'm in school now. Still reading lots, I promise I'm going to post reviews really soon. As soon as I write my exams you will start seeing them again. I'm 38/50 for my reading goal which is just awful but I'm planning on doing a lot of reading come December. I'll have a lot of downtime and you'll be seeing so much more of me!
Hope you're all well,
see you soon!!!

54. Blue Lily, Lily Blue - Maggie Stiefvater
I love Maggie's writing so so much. Three's just something about it that pulls me in.
I read this long ago and forgot to write a review which is making me mad because I need to remember what happened. I love it so much I've been angry I haven't gone out and got the last book to tell me what happens!
I've been watching book reviews on YouTube to tell me what happened and refresh my memory but its not really helping. I just remember a cave and some creepy things. Which helped that I read this book on the deck of a cruise ship. For the most part. Also on an airplane. As you can see, I was on family vacation.
That's maybe why most of it is lost to me, because of heat. I'm Canadian.
Either way, after I get my hands on a paperback version of The Raven King, I'll probably marathon these books like a badass and I now I'll fall in love all over again with everything.

52. Miss Mayhem - Rachel Hawkins
I heard mixed reactions about this book before I even read Rebel Belle but I was still determined to read it. I did not hate it. One of the reviews I thought about a lot while reading it was that it was a filler book just to have a trilogy and wasn't needed at all between the other two books.
I have yet to read Lady Renegades so I can see if this is the case.
This book was a bit weird and a little forced. I loved Rebel Belle so much maybe I just had too many high expectations for it. It also ended on a weird note that I didn't really like or understand at all. Like? I'm not too sure what happened and its been a while but I still don't get it. I hope the next book will clear it up a bit.
I don't think I'd re-read it to figure it out. Not unless Lady Renegades blows my mind. But I'm going to continue!

57. Last Sacrifice - Richelle Mead
Oh my gosh.
So I read all these 588 pages in three days which is like some kind of record considering I went to a party and had work in all those three days. Well except the third day. It was my day off so I was just at home with a head ache.
Anyway.
Oh Rose Hathaway, I love you so. She's my book wife. Its official.
I want to know more! I want to know how Jill does, I want to know how Lissa does, I want to know how Adrian does, I want to know how Christian does, and I want to know how Eddie does. Please world. I need to know how all of my faves are doing. I know Rose and Dimitri are going to be but I really, really need more.
Do you hear me Richelle? Adrian is a baby and I need to know that he's okay. Eddie too, he's got to be good!
I'll read Bloodlines now and hope I get some answers however.
I also need someone to talk to about this. So if someone could actually message me so I can say why I need these questions answered that'd be great.
(Yes, that is a lovely candle.)

47. Spirit Bound - Richelle Mead
Okay, I'll have to admit, it took me longer than I would have liked to finish this book. Like two years or something. I could have sworn I already wrote this post as well. However, I cannot seem to find it in the abyss that is my blog posts or anywhere on my computer. So here we go again.
I actually just finished Last Sacrifice (the book right after Spirit Bound) and its going to be a little hard to focus on this one with all the excitement of the beautiful Vampire Academy series.
So, here we go!
The first half of this book, that I read like two years ago, was still very, very exciting. I knew that if I just picked up the book I could finish it very easily. I love Rose sooooo much! Maybe I just never wanted this series to end. Luckily for me, Richelle Mead has a spin off type series called Bloodlines and I already have the first two books.
The second half took me like a few hours to read and it was just as amazing as the first. Richelle always has me on the edge of my seat with wondering what is happening.
In Spirit Bound, they break a(n evil) dude out of jail and learn new magic which they (semi-)easily put to use in no time flat then Rose gets arrested. Lots of crazy in between and never a dull moment I swear! This'll be a series I'll come back to lots. Right after I read Bloodlines of curse!
Have you read this series yet?

69. A Darker Shade of Magic - V.E. Schwab
Okay, I'm not actually finished this book yet but I just wanted to say a few things.
When I first started reading this, the writing drew me in. Victoria Schwab is an amazing writer. Brought me in right away but I put down the book like two chapters in and forgot about it for a few months. And now that my writing goal for 2018 is 50 books, I was like "Okay you need to finish books you've started and it will get your momentum going for the year."
Which so far is working really well!
So this was one of those books that I needed to finish first before I start another goddamned book. I'm on page like 273 or something right now and I just wanted to say, it took like 150 pages for something to happen. Like actually happen.
I loved reading it but I was kind of bored and pushed myself to keep going in the hopes that something would spark up.
Maybe its because of my reading slump that I'm still forcing myself to get out of or whatever. Oh well, I'm not going to finish it tonight because I have an EX Raid battle to get to in Pokemon go. So it'll probably be finished tomorrow if nothing pops up.
AAANNDD....
Final review:
Alright so Victoria, you sneaky, I see what you're doing there. The whole eye thing. And Holland. I get it. I see where this story is going.
I can't wait!!!
Sorry I have got to go and buy the rest of the books now.
