11. If I Stay - Gayle Forman

If I Stay by Gayle Forman is one of those obvious cry like you mean it books.

I'll admit, I saw the movie first. Late one night while drinking with my friend and we cried the whole time because Adam and Mia had instantly become out OTP for life. They are just so cute together it's perfection.

Even in  the book their history of dating made me want something similar. Well except for the whole other part of the book.

This book is half in the present where Mia and her family were in a car accident and half of her life. Like when she and Adam went on their first date and when she saw her brother being born.

It made me cry several times, so if you don't like to cry during books then don't read this one because though it is a very happy and cute book, it is equally sad and devastating.

Though I have the second book and haven't read it yet, I'm very nervous to read it. If you have hear about this duology before then you would know why but if you haven't then I won't spoil it for you. All I do know is that this book made me cry harder than I cried while reading 'The Outsiders' in grade eight.

And I cried like a baby reading that one.

The parts I cried the most are when her grandpa talked to her, when her best friend talked to her, and when Adam talked to her. And the funniest part was when Adam got the one famous girl and her group of friends to try and break into the ICU.

Sorry if I spoiled it for you there. But I promise it's worth the read. Or you could just get drunk and watch the movie like I did.

If you'd like me to read/ review a book, just leave a comment below! I'll try not to give too many spoilers or give too much away while reviewing the books, but if I do, also let me know so I can give warnings to anyone who hasn't read the books before. I appreciate all feedback, but please be respectful on constructive criticism.

Everyone's opinions are valuable so please don't make anyone feel terrible for having their own opinion on a book. Just because it's different from yours does not mean it's the wrong opinion.
