Of Poseidon by Anna Banks is surprisingly beautiful.
I just knew I was going to like this book, I didn't know I was going to love it.
To be honest I almost wanted to stop after the first few chapters because it seemed like it was going to be a sad and goreish book, but it wasn't. The main character Emma is strong and not just like physically, but mentally as well.
I realize that this book will not be for everyone even though I loved it so much I gave it 5 stars on goodreads.
It was a different kind of mermaid/Syrena book than I would have expected but it was amazing in my eyes nonetheless.
Though I had a little trouble at the end because it ends kind of on a cliffhanger that I really did see from the beginning but only brings up the issue right on the last line of the book. Which is a little frustrating so of course I go to get the next book the next day and well would you look at that. They didn't have the second or third book in stock.
So I waited quite a bit to see what happens afterwards.
My advice to you is if you fall in love with this book and know for a fact that you're going to read the next one then buy it while you're still halfway through the second.
Or that's going to be some serious suffering on your part. Trust me, I've been there.
I really do hope to read more mermaid books in the future, I just have got to find some because they seem pretty rare.
If you'd like me to read/ review a book, just leave a comment below! I'll try not to give too many spoilers or give too much away while reviewing the books, but if I do, also let me know so I can give warnings to anyone who hasn't read the books before. I appreciate all feedback, but please be respectful on constructive criticism.
Everyone's opinions are valuable so please don't make anyone feel terrible for having their own opinion on a book. Just because it's different from yours does not mean it's the wrong opinion.
